(More customer reviews)The last customer review said this was just the same old same old - but that would only be true if you've already done a lot of travel reading. If you are a casual traveler, and want to know some useful tips of the trade, this is a great resource. It has lots of good advice for making trips cheaper and easier and there was a lot of stuff I didn't know that I will definitely put to good use - like did you know that tall people can get extra legroom by requesting seats in a certain part of the plane? Or that you can get free flights to Asia by volunteering as a business courier (okay, I probably won't ever do that, but it's fun to think about.) Also, the book has a surprising number of fascinating facts that will come in handy at dinner parties. The only downside is that some of the stuff is already outdated, but the author does a good job of explaining how to find out the latest information for yourself, which is the best any travel writer can do.
