(More customer reviews)As the owner of a boutique management consultancy, I bought the first edition of this book to help me improve my marketing, particularly online. I've just now read the new third edition which is even better with some updated and improved material. It is an extremely practical guide and not only helps me plan what is appropriate to improve the generation of leads (e.g. by using social media such as LinkedIn), but it also helps me manage the suppliers I use to maintain my website and support me with other marketing activities. I thought I knew a lot about marketing and generating leads, but reading Marshall's book I've found countless bright ideas I can use that I would never have thought of. In addition to explaining how to use social media, the book covers such things as how to use Google AdWords, websites, position statements, keywords, persuasive copywriting, white papers, referrals, testimonials and even how to use interns. It's a long while since I've read a more practical guide. It's very easy to read and concepts are explained thoroughly so you can implement immediately. At over 300 pages it's excellent value. Could not recommend more highly, especially for professionals selling in the B2B marketplace.
