(More customer reviews)If it weren't for my familiarity with John Chow, I might have passed on this book based on my skepticism of the "make money online" theme of the title. Although you can download the ebook for free from his site, I was impressed by the comments on his blog and the reviews here that I decided to give the paperback a chance. This has become one of my top books of 2010.
I've been blogging since 2004, with modest success. While I knew quite a bit about blogging and WordPress, I managed to pick up some tips and tricks in the first six chapters. Chapter 7 covered what I felt that I needed help the most - how to write online content that attracts and keeps readers. I also learned a lot from Chapters 8 through 13 and will refer to them once I nail down the principles in the seventh chapter.
This book is such an easy read that I plowed through it this morning, highlighting almost every page. If you have just launched blog (or are planning to) and want a solid blueprint on how to make it successful, Make Money Online is a must-read. If you've been blogging for 6+ months and find yourself struggling to build your readership and/or earn a full-time living, Make Money Online is a must-read.
