I am a seasoned IT & Engineering Recruiter with over 15 years experience. I have been through the .Com Boom, the .Com Bust, several recessions, a whole cornucopia of technology births, and the advent of social media as a job-search tool. As a recruiter I know that it just gets harder and harder to find and qualify excellent candidates, for me and for my clients. I use social media daily to find and to qualify candidates. When I present a candidate to my client, I know that the client will go to Facebook, LinkedIn, Myspace, or wherever, and take a look at my candidate. And I've seen cases where candidates were presented to clients, who then found those candidates on social networking sites, and for one reason or another, lost interest. Unless you're living in a cave, job-seekers need to understand to what extent they are digitally exposed. Joshua has been working as a social-media/job search/networking guru for a number of years and this book gives job-seekers a crystal clear blue print of what to do and what not to do in order to use social media to help and not hinder their search.
