A note from the author - photographer - publisher:
The new book covers should provide a better idea of the book's contents. The book contains more than ninety high-resolution color digital photographs that are representative of both ancient and modern Athens, and other ancient locations within Greece. Perhaps I stretch your imagination a bit by suggesting that this book represents ancient Athens; however, once you 'place' yourself within this book's photos of the Acropolis, within photos of Delphi (sacred home of the Oracle of Delphi), and other Athens locations... you be the judge. The book provides dozens of photos of modern-day Athens, including the National Archaeological Museum, Monastiraki Square, the Athens Flea Market, Syntagma Square, Omonia Square, government buildings, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and, of course, walkabouts in Athens.
Quality photography requires quality publication, and publishing such a book is a bit more expensive than your typical mass-market paperback - of course, you, the reader-viewer, know that.
I hope to return to Athens and continue photographing that which I have begun, barely scratched the surface of, within this current volume; and, to publish an updated volume of 'A Walkabout In Athens' which, hopefully, will include other locations I had planned to photograph but was unable to do so because of time and money... back in 2005-2006. Will you please help me to do that by purchasing this current volume of this book title? Your purchase, your support, will help make this future trip a reality.
Thanks..!
