"JavaScript Testing Beginner's Guide" provides a nice overview of various testing related techniques. It's apparent that the book has been aimed primarily towards beginners. Particularly the first chapter delves into the very basics of JavaScript development. After that the book discusses various testing related issues ranging from validation to planning and tools. Particularly these latter sections are useful for experienced people that wish to fill gaps in their knowledge.
Unlike some other books of Packt's "beginner's" series this book intermixes theory with practical, step-by-step instructions. I find this sort of approach particularly useful as it provides good understanding of the basic concepts the book deals with.
There were times when I felt that the book could have used a bit more editing. Some sentences just felt awkward. In addition there were some typos around. Nothing too bad, however.
I think the book has something to offer for a wide range of people. Particularly those new to testing or JavaScript have a lot to gain by reading the book. As mentioned before more advanced users may find it useful to fill gaps in their knowledge.
