(More customer reviews)The Lean Desktop and Networking Pocket Guide XL applies Lean in today's environment of software applications and much-needed business critical information being readily available. This book is nearly 300 pages and is full of practical applications on how to use the Lean tools of takt time, pitch, leveling, mistake-proofing, etc. in MS Office and other applications. Pivot Tables, IF functions, etc. of Excel are explained relative to how those functions can be used in improving information flow. The section on problem solving is a detailed review on how to use the Chart function in Excel. The case studies that demonstrate each Lean Destkop tool are great! We will be providing all our admin staff with this book. The step-by-step approach used throughout this book should have them improving their productivity - on their own!
