(More customer reviews)I'm a US reference librarian who purchased this for my adult non-fiction collection. It's got solid instructions and directions.... but it's written from a UK point of view. Meaning that a lot of the websites used in the book are things like the UK Amazon, or especially in the section on auction sites, UK government auctions. Links for British newspapers. Examples are given in pounds. So forth.
As someone who has taught beginning computer classes geared towards seniors, a lot of the examples in here may be a bit frustrating for them -- especially for the travel sections linking to UK-centric travel sites that show someone how to pick flights from London to Malaga, with no US airports.
Again, the instructions in here are solid - browsing, searching, printing, social networking, etc. But if you're thinking of buying this for the US senior in your life, you may want to try something else.
