(More customer reviews)Shaun O'Callaghan's refreshing new book avoids all the elephant traps. It is very clearly written and laid out and is a truly practical guide to turnaround leadership. Almost any business executive will find it instructive; and for the technologically Kindled or i-Padded, there is an electronic version.
Shaun is an accredited member of the Institute for Turnaround and well understands that crises come in all shapes and sizes. They could be the result of a shift in consumer spending habits, or system-wide problems arising from a recession. The simple fact is that if you are in business for any reasonable period of time, you will have to manage and lead through a crisis.
The particular strength of Turnaround Leadership is its immediate practical value to management and other stakeholders of a business in crisis. Shaun shows how to guide a company through the tough times, profit from the changes that are happening, develop skills required to take the business forward and learn how to spot warning signs and take avoiding action.
Whilst the author's fluency in all the technical skills needed to turnaround a business is evident, the strong message is that turnaround is about people. That makes Turnaround Leadership an especially good investment.
